Introducing Wittie Hughes, an Artist and Entertainer with a Versatile Background
Wittie Hughes, better known as Witty, is a multi-talented artist, writer, musician, and actress from San Francisco, California. From a young age, she showed an incredible ability to pick up various artistic disciplines and soon fell in love with music and acting. Growing up in the 90s, Witty was influenced by girl groups and boy bands like NSYNC and Destiny's Child, and was particularly drawn to the bold personalities of Left Eye from TLC and Kylie from 3LW.
Not content to simply sing along to her favorite artists, Witty began writing her own songs at just seven years old. She found comfort in writing and her infectious personality made her well-loved by those around her. Her social butterfly personality and artistic abilities showed early signs that she was a natural-born entertainer.
Witty's diverse upbringing in San Francisco played a huge role in her development as an artist. She attended a Chinese immersion school from kindergarten to eighth grade, where she became fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin and realized her passion and potential to be an entertainer. In middle school, she began to cultivate and grow her love for acting, singing, dancing, and overall entertaining through a variety of outlets. With determination and hard work, she honed her talents and was eventually recognized for her artistic abilities.
At age 12, Witty starred in her first play about domestic violence, which was a breakthrough that led her to play a dominant role in the Black Broadway Cinderella play in San Francisco. This experience solidified her love for theater and she went on to study it throughout her grade school years. This education has helped her in her current career as an actress and she has played both supporting and lead roles in several local independent films.
We're excited to follow Witty's journey as she continues to entertain and inspire us with her artistic talent.
